Global Spell Guide[]
A global spell can be cast instantly on any turn without needing to be in range of targets. There are 4 types of global spell:
Summon - once per battle
The caster will summon an elemental spirit (earth/fire/water/air) to inflict damage on all foes with a chance to apply a related affliction (poison/ignite/freeze/paralyse). Additionally, there is a chance to instantly kill any foe already affected with the same type of affliction. Example familiar: Venenosa Charmer.
Affliction - multiple times per battle
The caster will have a chance to apply an affliction (poison/ignite/freeze/paralyse/silence) to foes but will not damage them as part of the spell. This is different to the Summon type of global spell and can be cast in addition to it and multiple times per battle. Example familiar Pongo Ritualist
Conjure (delayed proc) - once per battle
The caster will conjure a weapon which damages all foes after a set number of turns with a chance to apply an affliction (poison/ignite/freeze/paralyse). The turn delay ranges from 2 to 4 turns and can be worked out by adding 1 to the familiars skill number, for example Lancelot's base rare skill Arondight takes 2 turns and his fully evolved skill Arondight III takes 4 turns. It's worth noting that while the delay on the conjured skill is counting down the skill will be cancelled if the caster is the target of an affliction or an aura (eg a healers regeneration aura).
Buffs and debuffs - multiple times per battle
The caster will either buff the stats of allies or debuff the stats of foes depending on the skill wording. Buffs and debuffs only last for 3 turns (unconfirmed). A familiar can only have one of this type of effect active at one time, so a buff will replace a debuff (and vice-versa) and buff to wisdom can replace a buff to all stats if you aren't careful with skill uses. When replacing buffs the animation may not show that the new skill effect has taken place, but the stats will change to reflect the new buff. Example buff familiar: Galbraith the Lionheart - boost all of the stats of all allies. Example debuff familiar: Goblin Bagpiper - lower wisdom of all enemy casters.
