Skills can be used by the units in battle to gain an edge over foes. Some skills boost allies stats, some heal, some are designed to do extra damage, or damage multiple foes. The player can choose when to proc a unit's skill. All skills chosen to proc fire during the skill phase of battle, immediately after starting the turn and before the movement phase.

Debuff Skills
Status Effect Skills
Additionally, skills may have the ability to afflict enemies with harmful effects that reduce their effectiveness in battle. There are some healing effects that act in the same manner and thus are considered afflictions, but have positive effects and raise the effectiveness of allies instead.
